Interested in the stylish, quirky, and technologically-advanced new Kia Soul? Many drivers are, but if you're living in today's economy, you could be a little short on cash. Luckily, generous auto brand Kia is coming to the rescue with a new contest that asks fans to create a 90-second music video that ties in with the brand's "Bringing Down the House" commercial.

Michael Sprague, Executive Vice President of Marketing and Communications for Kia Motors America, explains the thought behind the new competition, stating, "Music has played a starring role in each of the Soul hamster spots, and the mash-up and remixing trends that inspired 'Bringing Down the House' lends itself to tapping the imaginations of fans of the spot and aspiring music video directors to allow them to express their creativity."1

The new ad features the brand's iconic dancing hamsters; except this time, they're winning over a snooty crowd of pompadoured opera fans with their slick moves. Each fan video should be a remix of the "In My Mind" tune used for the standard commercial, and guidelines for submission, as well as lighting and editing tips have been posted by the brand. Six finalists videos will be selected in October, and celebrity judges, at which time celebrity judges will give their input surrounding the creations.

What are you waiting for, reader? Submit your music video to youtube.com/kia through September 26 and then share through your social media profiles to get votes. This will account for 49 percent of your final score.
