On our Wagner Kia of Shrewsbury blog, the Rio hasn't been receiving its fair share of time in the limelight; well, it's time to change that. Redesigned just last year, the South Korean automaker's sporty compact, both of the hatchback and sedan variants, is the complete package. It offers drivers ample features, a healthy warranty, efficiency and style to boot. That said; we'd like to pull the model to the center stage today.

Let's start with impressive fuel-economy. Affording drivers ample miles between gas station visits, the Kia Rio gives Shrewsbury, MA motorists a stellar 28mpg city/36mpg highway. That's when paired with the brand's smooth automatic transmission. The manual gearbox allows additional mileage: 30 miles per gallon in the city and 36mpg highway, to be specific.

As you might assume, those fuel-economy statistics are helped by the subcompact's delightfully pintsized exterior, which also allows the Kio Rio to slide into tight parking spots with ease. But, don't fret; the interior is quite spacious. Not only can the model fit four adults comfortably, they're welcome to bring their luggage as the trunk measures in at 13.7-cubic feet.

So, how much is the Kia Rio?

That's a great question; you'll like the answer. The 2013 Kia Rio starts at $13,600. Excitingly that's for the baseline model, which is equipped with a four-speaker audio system with satellite radio, USB/iPod interface and heated power mirrors, to name a select few features.

To learn more about the 2013 Rio and schedule a test drive, we welcome you to stop by our new Kia showroom. We're always happy to answer any questions and discuss the details of the model that grabs your attention!
