As a Kia dealership serving the drivers of greater Shrewsbury, MA, it's true that our automotive preferences lie with a certain South Korean automaker. Although that's not to say we don't support U.S-made vehicles; we certainly do.

You see, the Korean brand has a production facility right here in the United States. Located in West Point, Georgia their manufacturing plant has employed over 11,000 workers, since 2009, to assemble the consistently popular Kia Sorento. Now, after almost four years in the area, in addition to supporting the surrounding economy, the automaker is celebrating a production-based milestone.

Namely, at the aforementioned facility, the one millionth-vehicle was built. The landmark unit, a pristine white Sorento SXL marks the Korean automakers dedication to providing stellar models to drivers throughout the United States. At least, that's if you ask us at Wagner Kia of Shrewsbury.

As for the one millionth-unit the Korean automaker is announcing that they will be sending it to one of their brand dealerships housed in the United States. Of course, if it happens to arrive at 730 Boston Turnpike then we'll let you know on our Kia blog.

In the meantime, we'd like to remind you that there have been several exciting U.S-made models produced by the Korean brand over the last four years. To arrange a test drive in a new-to-you vehicle, we invite you to visit our used Kia showroom serving Framingham. At your convenience, we're happy to answer any questions and detail the specs of your preferred option!
