The 2015 Kia Soul EV is not built like your average electric vehicle.

Launched at this month's 2014 Chicago Auto Show, the Soul EV is engineered to conserve energy and withstand tough winter conditions.

In an effort to prove as much, Kia has been testing the Soul EV this winter in Swedish Lapland, which is just an hour south of the Arctic Circle.

In extreme winter conditions, an electric vehicle can have its driving range reduced by as much as 50 percent. However, the Soul EV features state of the art heating, ventilation and air conditioning technology designed to maintain the EV's driving range.

When the Soul EV hits the market later this year, it'll be one of less than a dozen all-electric cars available in the U.S. Until then, visit Wagner Kia of Shrewsbury at our Shrewsbury, MA dealership to check out a new Kia model today.
