Consumer Reports Names 2016 Kia Sorento Most Reliable Midsize SUV
The accolades just continue to pile up for the re-designed 2016 Kia Sorento. Now the Sorento has been recognized by the auto experts at Consumer Reports for it's reliability, as it's been named the "Most Reliable Midsize SUV". Quite an honor.
According to the Consumer Reports testing, "reliability of the re-design has been well above average".
Among the contributing factors in their decision to name the Sorento #1 is the excellent crash test results (the Sorento also achieved the 2016 IIHS Top Safety Pick), quiet cabin, comfortable ride, and safe, secure and responsive handling. The multitude of available safety gear (including adaptive cruise control, forward-collision warning, blind-spot detection, and rear cross-traffic alert) are impressive features which also factored in the top rating.
But these aren't the only awards the Sorento has garnered. Besides the aforementioned IIHS Top Safety Pick, the Sorento also achieved the NHTSA overall 5-Star Crash Safety Rating and J.D. Power's 2015 Initial Quality Ratings & Awards, ranking highest in the midsize SUV category (read more).
